Custom seed paper greeting cards for a birthday, a thank you, Christmas or a christening. You pick the scene and write the wording, and it is printed on plantable paper here.
Seed paper is paper with wildflower seed set through it. Instead of recycling the card, the person you gave it to plants it: press it into soil, cover it lightly, keep it damp, and it germinates in two to three weeks.
Every card in the shop can be ordered on it — it is a paper choice on the card itself, not a separate range. The planting instructions are printed on the back of the card, so nobody has to remember what you told them.
Seed paper is thicker and more textured than ordinary card, and the printed colours sit softer on it. It is best sown in spring or early autumn; a card given at Christmas will wait happily in a drawer until March.
Tear or cut it up, press the pieces into damp compost about a centimetre down, cover lightly and keep it watered. It germinates in two to three weeks. Spring and early autumn are best; a card given at Christmas keeps in a drawer until March.
A wildflower mix. What comes up depends on your soil and the weather, which is why we do not promise a particular flower.
Yes. It is thicker and more textured than ordinary card, so a ballpoint or a fibre tip works better on it than a fountain pen.
All of them. It is a paper choice made on the card itself rather than a separate range, so pick any scene and change the paper.
