Returns

Returns and cancellations

You have 14 days to change your mind, and 30 days if something is wrong with what arrived.

If something is faulty, damaged or not as described

Tell us within 30 days of it arriving and you can have a full refund. That is your right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and it applies to everything we sell — including anything made or personalised for you.

After 30 days we will repair or replace it. If that is not possible, or it does not put the problem right, you can have some or all of your money back.

We pay the postage for anything faulty — that part is not optional and not something we would want to charge you for anyway. Send us a photograph first if that is easier; often it saves you a trip to the post office.

If you have simply changed your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day after your order arrives to cancel it, for any reason, without giving one.

  1. Tell us within 14 days. An email to hello@littlefavour.co.uk is enough — just say you are cancelling and give your order number.
  2. Send the items back within 14 days of telling us.
  3. We refund you within 14 days of the items arriving back, or of you showing us proof of postage, whichever comes first.

You pay the postage to send it back. We are a small shop and cannot absorb return postage on an order somebody has decided against, so please factor that in before you buy. If the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing, the postage is ours, not yours.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and include the standard delivery you paid to receive the order. If you chose a faster service than our cheapest, we refund the cheapest.

Please send things back unused and in a condition we could sell them in. You are welcome to open a parcel and look at what is inside, as you would handle something in a shop. If items come back used or damaged beyond that, we may reduce the refund to reflect it.

What cannot be cancelled

The law makes an exception for anything made to your specification or clearly personalised, because we cannot sell it to anybody else. For us that means:

  • Greeting cards, with wording, a size, a colour and a paper you chose.
  • Letter sets spelling a particular word, and numbered sets made to a range you gave us.
  • Anything printed or cut with a name on it.

A party bag is not in this group. The items in it are things we stock anyway, so you can change your mind about a party bag like anything else.

None of this affects your rights if a personalised item turns up faulty, not as described, or with our mistake in the wording. Those we always put right.

How to send something back

Write to hello@littlefavour.co.uk before sending anything back and we will give you the return address and sort the postage out with you.

Please include your order number, or a note with your name and the email address you ordered with, so we know whose parcel it is.

Keep your proof of postage until the refund reaches you. Until the parcel is back with us, or you can show it was sent, it is still your responsibility — that is the one part of this that is not in your favour, and it is worth knowing.

Your legal rights

Nothing on this page reduces your statutory rights. If you want to check them independently, Citizens Advice explains them plainly and is not on anybody's side but yours.

Sending a 3D printed item back to be reprocessed is a different thing, and free.
